Infusion Advert - Student Project

Infusion Advert
The advert I had created turned out to be better for what I thought it would be, for it being quite a good quality film.

The planning for the effect did turn out really well, which I was pleased with, because of doubting what outcome it would have.

When filming I did also improvise the majority of the shots, by having a kind of arc shot, with showing the two runners. This also was good for when I was editing, I managed to fit a perfect timing for when it displays the arc shot, it goes really well with the music.

During editing I also was questioning if the audience would pick up on the meaning or idea behind the advert. So I decided to add in the names of the runners, as they were represented as flavours.

I thought I would just include their titles in the advert, to enforce the idea behind it. I had in mind if the characters would have flavoured names it would influence exactly of what they are and represent.

When in the process of planning to film I also had the idea to display a product placement and use it in one of the shots. I printed out the brand logo and stuck it on one of the drinks to implement the drink.

I used it in the dropping of the drink, this shot was improvised I decided it would be better to instead use it in the build-up of them both running at each other, so I used it in a way to portray them both to start or set off to race; at the drop of the bottle.

This then created a momentum for the build but also created a close up of the logo, instead of just displaying a close up at the end, which I was going to just use. I thought it would be better that way.

At the end as well for the official product placement I also decided that it would be really good to add a bit of powder to fall down near it to get the effect of it being straight after the collision and being in the same place.

Overall I thought it did in fact portray the idea behind it really well and for it to be quite unique.

(Advert) Infusion - Focus Group

INFUSION Audience Research

After finishing the process of editing the advert I had created for my product, I had then began to give a preview to others for the feedback; of how well the quality of the advert looked and if the product also seemed good quality.

I had filmed three individual's feedback of the product and advert; displaying a montage of the three individuals.

When receiving the feedback I had got from the interviews, it suggested that the advert was good quality and had various techniques that worked well and that the advert was effective,  which it did have a remembrance and that the product did seem intriguing to try.

The conclusion of my advert I thought did come to terms with the idea I had for the advert. I thought the techniques used were good and the effect turned out successful.

Although I think I could improve slight aspects including the end shot. I could of implemented more description of the product and a voice over, which would give the final look a professional one.

Product Idea - Energy Drink Product: Infusion

Energy Drink Product: Infusion

Creating the product from scratch I had a basic idea of what platform I wanted the product to be, which was an Energy Drink.

I created a mind map of what words would express the word energy, and would implement it as the brand of my product. I wrote down many words that express the explanation of energy, and looked for a name/word that would suit a title for a drink as well.

I eventually came up with the word ‘Infusion’; this influenced the idea of the drink to combine individual flavours. I thought this would work, because of there not being any or many energy drink products that influence two or more flavours.

With this certain product it also gave me the idea of combining two flavours into separate drinks. I thought this would make a perfect franchise of a product. I had then got the idea of naming flavours, but I thought there wasn't any need, only just to mention the two flavours in the specific drink.

After confirming the brand name of the product, I then went onto creating a logo for the brand.

Sketched Product Logo
I had created a sketch of a logo, that I had in mind which would suit my product.

I collaborated ideas together to receive an ideal look.

I thought of different types of ways to portray my product through the logo, It had to be energetic, loud, enthusiastic and display action (Movement).

I first had the idea to make the font edgy and lent to one side to create the look of energetic, action and Movement.

I then came up with the idea of adding liquid, splashing out of the font. To indicate what the product is and the representation of infusion, mixing elements together. I then thought of having liquid come out from both sides of the font, to create a surrounding background; so that the font would attract attention.

Edited sketched Product Logo

I then decided to create a edited version which includes colour. I had the idea to use a various amounts of colours to signify the expression of infusion and use the colours of individual flavored drinks I had in mind.

I also added a shadow layer to the font to make it stand out.

The idea I had in mind for the advert, were based up on two runners representing individual colours. To collide into one another and create infusion, which is referred in the product.

The colours I chose were 'Red' and 'Blue', to be able to mix together and create a good flavour looking colour; which is 'Purple'.

Whilst using two runners to represent the two individual flavours, I thought to enforce the idea behind it by including two different coloured drinks, which were identical to the two runners. I thought if both runners had their own coloured drink, it would influence the idea that it is based up on flavour.

Once I had the idea of the iconography of the two drinks I then moved onto figuring out a method of an effect which would clash both runners together for the collision. I then was influence on to using powder paint, a practical effect; on which I thought would go quite well for the project. I had the idea on having both coloured runners use their specific colour to clash together to create a mixture visual effect.
